Meet your instructor

Dr. Marrix D. Seymore, Sr.

Dr. Seymore is an advocate of transformational through education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Administration Leadership, respectively from Prairie View A&M University of Texas. Dr. Seymore also earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a concentration on Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University of Arizona.

On local, state, and international levels, Dr. Seymore has used vision, organization and practicality to train and improve the performance of churches, educational agencies, and other non-profit organizations throughout the country. Dr. Seymore is an experienced congregational development strategist and trainer. In addition to leadership and ministry development work with local ministries, Dr. Seymore has been the featured facilitator for several workshops, regional, and national conferences.

A career educator and administrator, Dr. Seymore aims to improve the environment where kingdom building takes place. Dr. Seymore is a leadership coach, strategic planning facilitator, and a ministry evaluator. Dr. Seymore is the founder of MoreSey & Associates, consulting firm with Christian values targeting the marketplace with a mission to develop communities and organizations to operate at their optimal best through a variety of proven tools and methods designed to result in successful outcomes.

Dr. Seymore is a Pastor, Western Regional Dean of Leadership Development, and Director of Christian Education for the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He is the host of the weekly vlog, “Let’s Talk Impact.” Dr. Seymore’s aim is to use "lessons learned from the trenches" to develop and support current church leaders and congregations.

Seymore is an Elder of The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, an Apostolic Teacher of Kingdom First Ministries, a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society for educators; the 100 Black Men of the America; Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporate, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, from whom he received the NAACP 2015 Excellence in Religion Award.

Dr. Seymore is a proud father of two sons, also educators, Marrix II and Johnston Alexander Seymore. He lives by the mission of being an ambassador of vision; uniquely molded to glorify God, equipped to edify God’s people, and commanded to empower them through teaching, so that they further the Kingdom of God. He executes this mission based on Habakkuk 2:2 “Write the vision and make it plain!”
